Delicious and easy-to-make maple donut bars that can be prepared in just 35 minutes, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, maple syrup, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the bars are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth.
- Once the bars are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling with the glaze.
- Cut into bars and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark maple syrup.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- These bars can be frozen for up to a month.
