A delicious and classic meatloaf recipe topped with rich marinara sauce, perfect for family dinners.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, parsley, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
- Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- In the last 10 minutes of baking, add the remaining marinara sauce on top.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can include chopped bell peppers or mushrooms in the meat mixture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
