- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Provolone cheese, optional
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
- Add sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the roast.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Sprinkle dried thyme, salt, and pepper over the mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the juices.
- Serve the beef on hoagie rolls, topped with provolone cheese if desired.
- Use the remaining broth as a dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear the roast in a skillet before adding it to the crockpot.
- Feel free to add sliced bell peppers or mushrooms for additional toppings.
