Description

Ingredients

  • 8 pears (about 4 pounds) Bartlett or Anjou
  • 1 tablespoon bottled lemon juice
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and chop the pears into small pieces.
  2. Add the chopped pears to the crockpot along with lemon juice, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. Stir the mixture to combine all ingredients well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pears are soft and the mixture has thickened.
