Description

Garlic Parmesan Chicken is a flavorful and creamy dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a rich garlic and Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon basil
  • ½ teaspoon parsley
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons parsley
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a measuring cup and set aside.
  2. Slice chicken breasts lengthwise into thinner pieces. Cover and pound to about ½-inch thickness.
  3. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add butter, then flour. Stir and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  7. Gradually add the prepared sauce mixture, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer for 8 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  8. Lower heat and slowly stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Add lemon juice.
  9. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and simmer 5 minutes until heated through and sauce reaches desired thickness.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts better and gives a smoother sauce.
  • Chicken broth fully replaces the wine without losing flavor.
  • Use a wide skillet to help the sauce reduce properly.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen up to 3 months.
