A delicious and easy one-pan honey BBQ chicken recipe served with rice, perfect for a quick dinner.

- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup of rice
- 1 cup of honey BBQ sauce
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken thighs to the pan and sear until golden brown on both sides.
- Pour honey BBQ sauce over the chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add rice and chicken broth to the pan, stirring to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until rice is cooked.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the chicken seasoning.
- Feel free to substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts if preferred.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
