  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 12 tbsp cold water (for cornstarch slurry if using)

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the beef, broccoli, soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, garlic, and ginger.
  2. If using cornstarch, mix it with cold water to create a slurry and add it to the slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  4. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
