  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, stem and seeds removed; finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Tomato Paste
  • 1 can (15 oz.) Tomato Sauce
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice (brown or white)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and garlic; cook until the vegetables are softened.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Add the brown sugar, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and beef broth; stir to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes.
  7. Stir in the cooked rice and heat through before serving.
