Description
Baked pears with cinnamon and honey make a delightful dessert.

- 4 medium pears
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel pears using a vegetable peeler.
- Cut off the ends, then slice each pear in half lengthwise.
- Gently scoop out the core.
- Place pears face down on a baking sheet or in a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine honey, cinnamon, coconut oil (or butter), and vanilla extract.
- Microwave for about 30 seconds, then stir until well combined.
- Spoon about 1/2 to 3/4 of the sauce over the pears.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until soft and lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Spoon remaining sauce over each pear before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm on their own or with yogurt or vanilla ice cream.
- For added texture, sprinkle chopped nuts before baking.
- Choose firm pears so they hold their shape while baking.
