Ingredients
Scale
- 3.75 cups water or sparkling water
- 2.5 cups fresh orange juice
- Just under 2 cups fresh lime juice (about 15 oz)
- 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp simple syrup
- Lime slices/wedges for garnish
- Salt for rimming glasses
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine water (or sparkling water), orange juice, and lime juice. Stir in simple syrup.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Rim glasses with lime juice and salt if desired.
- Fill cocktail shaker 2/3 full with ice. Pour in enough margarita mix to cover ice, shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
- Pour into prepared glasses. Repeat with fresh ice as needed.
- Garnish with a lime wedge or slice in each glass.
Notes
- For a slightly more complex flavor, you can add a splash of orange blossom water or a few drops of orange extract.
- Simple syrup can be replaced with liquid stevia or another sweetener if desired.
- Use sparkling water for a fizzy, festive version.
