Description
Easy Air Fryer French Fries (Extra Crispy) recipe for delicious, homemade fries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb russet potatoes (2 large or 3 medium)
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper (or to taste)
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly and peel them if desired. Cut into even-sized fries, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Make sure each fry is evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Adjust cooking time for your preferred crispiness.
- Remove the fries when golden and crispy. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Spread fries in a single layer for maximum crispiness; cook in batches if needed.
- Try adding onion powder, cayenne pepper, or smoked paprika for extra flavor.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
