This Easy Cinnamon Donut Bread combines the flavors of cinnamon and sugar in a moist loaf. Perfect for breakfast or a snack.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
- ½ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until evenly combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter will be thick.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While bread bakes, melt butter for topping and mix sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan. Brush the top (and sides if desired) with melted butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
- A simple glaze (powdered sugar + milk) can be drizzled on top for extra sweetness.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- Freeze tightly wrapped for up to 2 months.
