Description
Homemade Dubai Chocolate Bars are a delightful treat combining chocolate and pistachio cream with crispy kunafa.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 milk chocolate bar (Tony’s or your favorite)
- About ½ of a 17.6 oz package thawed frozen kunafa (kataifi) dough, chopped
- 10.5 oz jar pistachio cream
- 2–3 Tbsp butter
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add chopped kunafa and cook, stirring often, until golden brown and crispy. Remove from heat and add a small pinch of salt.
- Warm the pistachio cream in the microwave for ~30 seconds so it pours easily. Stir it into the toasted kunafa mixture. Set aside.
- Melt chocolate using a double boiler (or microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently).
- Using a spoon or pastry brush, spread a thin layer of melted chocolate along the bottom and up the sides of your mold. Freeze until firm.
- Spoon the pistachio-kunafa mixture into the hardened chocolate shell. Press down gently to pack it in.
- Spread another thin layer of melted chocolate over the top to seal the bar.
- Refrigerate or freeze briefly until fully set. Remove from mold.
Notes
- Best enjoyed at room temperature for the ideal texture.
- Adjust the pistachio cream to kunafa ratio to your preference.
- Works great in silicone candy bar molds for easy removal.
