Delicious and easy-to-make holiday toffee bark.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 cup crushed candy canes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil, then let it boil for 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes, then spread it evenly.
- Top with nuts and crushed candy canes if desired.
- Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
