Ingredients

- 4 tablespoons chia seeds
- 3–4 tablespoons brown sugar (dark, light, or regular)
- 1 cup mashed banana (about 2 ripe bananas)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (or more to taste)
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chia seeds, brown sugar, mashed banana, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Stir well until everything is evenly mixed.
- Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- When ready to serve, stir and add your favorite toppings such as nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, or nut butter.
Notes
- This recipe was developed using dark brown sugar, but any type works.
- Adjust sweetness to taste by increasing or decreasing the sugar.
- If you prefer a thinner consistency, stir in a splash of milk before serving.
