Description

Delicious white chocolate peppermint pretzel cookies with a festive crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pretzels
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer (or using a hand mixer), cream the butter and both sugars together for about 1 minute, until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Stir in the white chocolate chips, chopped pretzels, and crushed peppermint.
  7. Form the dough into balls using about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie. Place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt. For presentation, gently press extra white chocolate chips, pretzel pieces, or peppermint pieces onto the tops.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for 3–5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
